Problem...
Garment and sewn toy manufacturers
as well as retailers are concerned about possible injury to
the customer caused by broken needles in their products. This
problem has been difficult to monitor with consistent
accuracy and speed. The use of hand held detectors and plate
style detectors do not provide sensitivity levels required or
the ability to find needles in garments with zippers or
snaps.

Utilizing the experience of over 50
years in design and manufacture of highly sensitive metal
detectors for the food processing and pharmaceutical
industries, Cintex has developed detectors specifically for
the garment and textile industries. The Needlesearch®
metal detectors were developed to inspect garments for
ferrous metal with metal zippers and snaps, while the
Autosearch® metal detectors inspect garments without
zippers and snaps.
The systems are completely automatic
consisting of integrated conveyors and reject devices that
eliminate operator interface. sensitivities down to 1.2mm
diameter metal particle size provides assurance of needle
detection.
