Ferrous in foil metal detectors operate on the principle of a magnetic
field being induced into a steel contaminate. Ferrosearch has a coil to
generate a DC field, unlike other systems which use permanent magnets
which can degrade. The DC system remains sensitive for the life of the
detector. The magnetic flux is detected by secondary coils and amplified
to trigger reject mechanisms.
Ferrosearch combines the very latest in state of the art electronics and
computer technology with the long standing features of all our metal
detectors. This truly computer controlled system provides many benefits
including automatic set up and operation, greatly improved sensitivities,
self supervision and diagnostics, data reporting and remote control
options.
