The Autosearch metal detector was the first with microprocessor
control, the first with Digital Signal Processing, the first
with Auto Learn, the first with Auto Compensation, the first
with PC software for monitoring and controlling the equipment. Autosearch
II is now the first second-generation microprocessor controlled
metal detector. It features an upgraded vacuum fluorescent, multi-screen
display, with a processor that is ten times faster than it's predecessor
offering increased speed, accuracy and management information. It is also
the first to offer infra-red remote control that allows operation of the
unit without the need to open any covers or expose any controls to wet,
harsh environments.
