BAGGER WITH CHAIN CONVEYOR
A unique conveyor used for bagging
heavy bales is the Ensalco Gin Bagger conveyor. On this conveyor
heavy bales of cotton travel down a 2-strand chain conveyor until
reaching staging point for funnel and bagging operation. Two chain
driven U-shaped steel lugs travel between the strands and a single lug
pushes each bale through a funnel device while a heavy poly bag is
placed around the bale. Once through the tunnel and bagged, bales
continue on the chain conveyor until reaching the discharge point where
they are accumulated in upright position. This conveyor is
internally referred to as "double dog bagger" and is painted
Ensalco blue. |
