Provides "no tools required" installation! Designed for any 275, 375, or Power 100 conveyor that is shipped in multiple cartons, the Permanent Quick Connect simplifies field assembly, enabling on person to easily and permanently connect conveyors. connection brackets are zinc-plated, 11-gauge steel. Assembly of the handknob sets and lock washers that make a secure and permanent connection can be completed without tools.

Both sides of the conveyor operate independently across the connection, allowing one portion of the conveyor to be opened or closed before the adjoining portion. This feature makes the conveyor easier to maneuver. Additional Quick Connect links can be added to maintain curves in shipping and receiving applications.

Electrical Quick Connect
The Electrical Quick Connect is provided to simplify installation of a power conveyor. Prewired at the factory, the connectors are UL-approved plastic twist-lock units. A three-wire connector set is employed across every physical break of a conveyor to power the motorized rollers. A two-wire connector set is used at the coiled cored's end to electrically connect the emergency stop buttons and optional optics sensor. These connectors provide a simple, dependable connection when locked in position. When used along with the new permanent quick connect, a power conveyor can be quickly and easily assembled in the field without using tools.

Nestaflex Power 100 - Optional Features

Lagging on Rollers
To ensure incline conveyance of materials, a lagging is added to the 2 1/4" steel rollers. On the All-Drive model, a 2 3/8" diameter, natural rubber lagged roller is optional. For the O-Ring model, a 1/8" thick polyurethane lagging material is factory installed to the standard drive rollers and non-motorized rollers. Lagging can also be used for moving lightweight materials.

Carton Sensor/Box Stop
With its photoeye sensor, it automatically stops the conveyor if a package is not removed, adjustable from 0-15 seconds. When the package is removed, the conveyor automatically restarts. It allows conveyor to identify and react to small and over sized materials without obstructing conveyor sides.

Accumulation: For applications that require accumulation, designated zones are equipped with a carton sensor and integrated timer that sequentially stops a group of rollers. Removal of a carton covering any sensor reactivates the conveyor to continue accumulation. box stop is included.

Shipping Systems Options

Store-Away System
This feature stores the flexible conveyor below the fixed feeder conveyor when not being used and includes guide rail and standard or herringbone transition assembly. The guide rail ensures proper alignment of conveyor in stored postilion and secures the conveyor below the transition assembly when in extended position.

Transition Assembly
The transition assembly, comprised of spring-loaded rollers within a rigid steel frame, provides an easy and efficient way to convey cartons from he feeder conveyor to the flexible conveyor. A hinged mounting plate bolts to the fixed conveyor, allowing units to ride up and down as conveyor is extended or contracted. Herringbone transition centers cartons, (particularly small ones) from conveyor to conveyor.

Receiving Systems Options

Impact Conveyors
Built-In: The end and first bed sections are restricted to 3" axle centers and reinforced with steel skate wheels. To provide twice the resistance to impact, conveyors with adjustable less are equipped with added leg locks. An optional Permanent Quick Connect can be used to isolate the impact area with 3" centers without affecting the axle centers or the balance of the conveyor.

Fixed: The Impact Conveyor is an aluminum channel/steel frame rigid conveyor that is bolted to the receiving end of a Nestaflex conveyor. It has steel skate wheels on 3" axle centers designed to withstand the impact of heavy materials. When ordering, please specify conveyor model and working height.

System Accessory
PCM: The Power Conveyor Mover was developed to maneuver heavy conveyors or for use in facilities where the safety standards demand it. The unit is equipped with a 12-volt DC motor that is powered by a standard 12-volt marine deep-cycle battery. It is capable of moving any Nestaflex conveyor at a comfortable walking speed. After a day of service it is recharged at night using a standard automotive trickle charger that is built into the unit. The unit goes forward or reverse and has a small turning radius for maneuvering in trailers. The PCM quickly and easily attaches and disconnects to a Nestaflex Conveyor. In this way, on mover can be used with multiple conveyors in a system.

Options and Accessories

Axle Restrictors: Steel sleeve restrictors are available to reduce axle center spacing from 5 1/4" to 3" or 4" to accommodate small packages and increase impact resistance. Installation can be performed at the factory or in the field.

Curve Guard: An integrated curve guard is available for accumulation applications. All Nestaflex conveyors are self-tracking around curves without side rails. A wing assembly attached 3" outboard of the conveyor width provides a unidirectional, continuous, solid surface designed to extend, contract and flex with the rest of the conveyor.

Leg Locks: For demanding applications, Nestaflex Leg Locks provide positive leg adjustment and twice the impact resistance of the original leg adjustment. Leg locks slice up the inner legs until they make contact with he outer legs, allowing for secure engagement by the three-prong handknob.

Dockless Receiving

Swing Stick: The 5' rigid-frame aluminum Swing Stick with 3" axle centers attaches to the end of a conveyor and extends up the truck beds. When not in use, it nests on top of the conveyor.

Skate Wheel and Roller Specifications

P-Black Polymer Skate Wheel: Ideal for high-volume materials diameter polymer skate wheels feature 7 steel ball bearings in a free-floating, captive race. Their unique design provides superior wheel rotation. Recommended pitch is 5/16" per foot of conveyor.

N-Red Nylon Skate Wheel: Ideal for use on shorter length skate wheels with nylon bushings and silicon lube are slower flowing skate wheels that are moisture-resistant and rust-proof. Recommended pitch is 9/16" per foot of conveyor.

S-Steel Skate Wheel: Ideal for heavy-duty applications involving moderate- to high-volume materials handling. These 1.9" diameter, heavy-duty steel skate wheels with 8 ball bearings provide impact resistance. Recommended pitch is 5/16" per foot of conveyor.

S-Steel Rollers: Ideal for conveying materials with flat and complex bottoms, these 1 3/8" OD, galvanized steel rollers with sealed ball bearings are a combination of spring-loaded axles and rollers with hub openings to accommodate 5/16" steel axles. Recommended pitch is 7/16" per foot of conveyor.
