HIGHEST QUALITY BALL TRANSFERS FOR MATERIALS HANDLING
Ball transfers are engineered and manufactured to provide instantaneous changes of direction in material handling applications. Ball transfer applications include any requirement for omni-directional motion in any type of material handing. A wide range of sizes, styles, mounting designs, and materials are available to meet specific requirements. Ball transfers will function efficiently whether mounted in a ball-up or ball-down position as long as the applied load passes through the centerline of the unit. Properly applied, ball transfers can provide a low cost solution to the most complex motion problems.
WIDE APPLICATIONS
Ball transfers make light work of directing, shifting, rotating and turning loads in material handling applications. Ball transfers are widely used in many industrial applications including:
Conveyor systems incorporating ball transfer tables, turntables, sorting and lifting platforms, and cargo rolling decks.
Machinery including feed tables for metal working and machining, fixtures for press brakes and assembly and ergonomic aids.
Robotics, packaging equipment and industrial caster applications.
SEALED AND LUBRICATED
Experience has shown that dirt, grit and other particulate contamination can reduce the longevity and service of ball transfers. Ball transfer units are offered in a sealed and lubricated configuration, which has proven to prevent environmental contamination and increase longevity. In this unique design, the seal is contained in a separate compartment from the rolling support balls. This design allows the seal to effectively wipe contamination from the main ball as it rolls and reduces contamination of the support balls. All carbon steel units are supplied in the sealed and lubricated configuration unless specified otherwise.
Ball transfer units are available with the highest quality plated carbon steel or stainless steel components. As indicated by unit, possible combinations include all plated carbon steel, all stainless steel and carbon steel housing with stainless steel balls.
AVAILABLE MATERIALS
We recommend stainless steel units for use in wet or corrosive environments. All units are also available with a nylon ball; we recommend this configuration for applications where the ball transfer may mark, mar or damage the contact surface.
